Thirty Hours

A 5 track balearic / downtempo ep (19m 5s) — released February 16th 2015 on Campus

Hamacide + ChaCha's second release, "Thirty Hours", is a five-song EP that melds dreamy soundscapes, and abstract Mandarin Chinese into ethereal, beat-driven pop tunes. Although Hamacide is now based out of Tokyo, Japan, and ChaCha in Shanghai, China, the two still share a musical kinship that has grown even stronger and more experimental. Yosi Horikawa lends his hand with a sublime remix that hits hard while wrapping you in lush layers of sound design.

Hamacide and ChaCha are long time collaborators. In 2012, they released their first collection of tracks, "You Me EP". The title track quickly gained buzz with the help of Charles Lanceplaine's documentary "Ordos", which captured skaters in the untapped, and mostly uninhabited lands of an inner Mongolian ghost town. Lanceplaine's short film saw over 451,000 plays worldwide, and was picked up by international news sites such as CNN and ESPN. This film and others can be seen on his Vimeo page [http://vimeo.com/51333291].
